Marlinspike Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 After losing a battle with a pirate privateer off Cayo Romano on the north coast of Cuba, I find myself in Santa Maria on the south coast of Cuba (I suppose as the crow flies, it is the closest neutral port). I'm going to say that after losing the fight with the pirate privateer, myself and my crew were imprisoned in Cayo Romano, held for ransom. But due to the long-standing policy of the US government to refuse ransom payment to pirates, it looked like our days were numbered, so we plotted an escape. Thanks to a little help from local villagers, we made our escape and after several days walking, we arrived in Santa Maria where I am negotiating the purchase and outfitting of a new Lynx. 4
GrapeShot Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Throw in a beautiful girl, cannibals and a volcano erupting and I'll believe every word you say. 1
Sir Cloudsley-Shovell Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I got teleported to St George's BEFORE the battle instance happened!
BungeeLemming Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 This bug is very well known. And devs said the moment this happens you should immediately hit F11 and PM raskolnikoff. They are still looking into this bug and need all info they can get. Its too late now but keep this in mind when it happens again.
raskolnikoff Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 The bug which we are hardly looking for is when you exit from combat to open world (not port) in absolutely different location from where combat happened. If captain lost his ship and can't continue sailing in OW, he'd be teleported to nearest non-enemy port, which fits ship (deep or shallow) 1
SynMonger Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I put in an F11 report, but this is still happening. Sunk in a port battle at Saint Mary's and was teleported to a free town in southern Haiti.
