Principe Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 They always exceed my expectations, haven't been this happy from a company before -- okay, well maybe CD Projekt but that's another story. I'm glad you started making this game, I'm glad you update this consistently, I'm glad you listen to the community. You just earned your #1 fan. Thank You Game-Labs! 4
Arvenski Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 First step towards feeling like you've been let down by a developer: having a high opinion of said developer. Sorry to rain on your parade.
Principe Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 Well, they sometimes listening. Its good enough Granted if they listen to everyone, then the game might have imbalanced. They're the middle-man or mediator in this case, they take a look at everyone's side/opinions and then they decide which path is the best.
Principe Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) First step towards feeling like you've been let down by a developer: having a high opinion of said developer. Sorry to rain on your parade. Well, I'd hate to feel pessimistic to everything I see, so I don't do that often. Hope is the greatest virtue of human kind. Edited July 4, 2015 by Principe
Arvenski Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) Well, then, I shall bow to your hope, and hope that you are right. But really, the only developer I've consistently had anything akin to faith in is Taleworlds, and the reasons for that are A.) I loved both the games they've made (Mount & Blade and Warband), and B.) they haven't released a game of their own since 2010, so I haven't had any reason to doubt them since. I love Talesworld as well but .. their PR kinda sucks. I feel like Banner lord is totally dead, I haven't seen any updates, relevant, as in gameplay wise, etc of the game for maybe 2-3 months now. ParaBellum Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 So far I am pleasantly surprised by Game Labs. They frequently add content to the game, seem willing to listen to the community and seem to have real enthusiasm for the game they are creating. 100+ hrs played so far (according to Steam) seems to indicate money well spent. Actually, there are only a handful of games in my Steam library of 118 titles that show more played time. And NA is still in very early development with seriously limited content. So yeah, keep up the good great work! 2
Kookaburra Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 There a few devs that I truly like. Devs that respond to players in the forums. Who listen to feedback and change the game. Devs that don't dumb down their games for more money. Devs that don't sell unfinished products. Game Labs is one of those devs. I have high hopes for this game.
mouse of war Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 I've been very happy to have been involved, even in such a small way as a tester. The development process is fascinating
Styles Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) For the last few years i was one of those guys that jumped from one "next best thing" to the "next best thing", bought into so many alphas and betas, even clocked way more than 1000 hours in DayZ (mod included i have to say) - it slowly but surely wore off my interest in early-access titles, even games in general. But this one right here restored my faith, that early-access is a good thing, if done right. So, yeah: Thank you Game-Labs! Edited July 4, 2015 by Styles
Neary Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 (edited) Mount and blade, what a classic, also Styles i've got Dayz SA, played plenty of the m.od too, its just so slow paced in it's development cycle and taking forever to really get anywhere (although soon base building and opening for mod support is coming) Anyway... i've got my moneys worth with this game already, although there isn't loads of features, there coming and i'm still playing and enjoying it, as above, it does feel like early access done right..i won't hope they do a good game, however, i expect them to not rush going into beta/full release and include plenty towards the game labs vision of the game and ensure that there's plenty to support new player growth to make this game as successful as can be. I'm definately looking forward to the future of NA though. Edited July 4, 2015 by Neary
Flavalicious Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Hell will freeze over before Dayz SA even breaks even with the mod lol. +1 for games lab as well from me. They seem interested in the project they are developing
