It got dropped cause mainly the PvP only guys didn’t want any work on PvE content that might actually get more players in game and exploring the map.

PvP only guys are destroying the game they should have their NA Legends and let us who want trading, exploration,PvE and PvP in one package have NA

I agree PvP only games only work in arena models or things like sims (flight games and tank) not open worlds sand boxes.  They lost so many players with this PvP majority thinking which they are actually a minority of the game prob about 10% of the population.

10% no its far more non PvP only people are leaving PvP only ones are staying. If devs want that game surivives they need too choose if they want PvP only they need to abandon NA and go NA Legends to me NA was always about recreating age of sails so to have exploration and ability too get really lost is to tempting for me

Ladies and gentlemen: any intent to model true winds in-game anytime soon? At the very least, unique tradewinds for each zone (a different pattern of circling for each region).

I hope not. Do you really want to not be able to do what you want that day during your game session because of bad winds?

I fail to understand why we can’t have both. The problem to me, that I have seen in these forums, is that for PvP players, that is all that there is. They are very shortsighted and think the the game can only be about hunting and sinking another player.

   What you call a PvE player wants the entire experience of the age of sail. We want trade and battle. We want a realistic world mechanic that says the entire world is not at war with every other nation in that world and because of that there should be rules of engagement. The PvE player, as you call them, just wants a deeper experience in the game, not just sail, fight, and do it again.

Do not confuse experience the age of sail with PvE/PvP in the game. Please...

I totally get the need to more... something... like opportunity to export the session log for you to use in your NA club logbook, or a clan map where we can place names in places, I don't know, just shooting random stuff here... BUT wanting to promote a "life in the caribbean during the age of sail" in a alternate history line is what many many many player are doing.

I must remember myself everyday, this is not a reenactment. This is a reinterpretation by means of a game.

Many players wish nothing more than enacting "master&commander" duels all day long. Are they wrong ? No. It is their call of experience age of sail, pure grit combat one frigate on one frigate. Others go on a "captain blood" tv series type of thing.

Like in the tabletop, imagination must be a element or else it is nothing but metal/plastic and rules and dice.

I guess thats why there is also PVE server, but i agree ship hugging is a bit silly.

The PvE server is not s viable alternative. There is no content. Why is this concept so hard to understand that this game can and is so much more than just fighting. And if we had rules of engagement via Diplomacy, that PvP players can still do nothing other than go fight, repair, and do it again. There will just be a few targets that will be temporarily off limits. It is a win win for the game and players.

   I cannot believe that the original intent of this game was to be WoW or WoT sailing ships version.

You seem to try to limit availability of the biggest ships by making them really expensive. However, the cost is mats and currencies that can be traded, do you have plans to limit the influence of RMT once the game goes live?

Captain, in case you mean real money trade - this is forbidden activity in Naval Action and should be reported

I asked this many a times and I know that there was plans to make paints like shipknowledge but that will take a wipe of all ships, but why don’t we have other paints than Bellona White and Endy winter mosh paint we got last NYE?

they would make great rewards to put in chest right now cause let’s be frank.  Love the ships but most of them look very blandishments and the same.  Can we add them to the loot pool until a new system comes out?

We did shipbuilding at the time it was exciting (at some point you had to craft N number of the same ship to get a blueprint of the next one). 

 

I wonder if it was a mistake to cave to some players who did not want that system. I found it exciting too.

We have no position on paints yet. We cannot make it a DLC at this stage because we want the ship with paint to be capturable. And we have not yet tested the economy fully to add back paints into the game.

Yah I know there are future plans for it but for now why can’t yall toss it into the loot tables so we don’t all have exact same looking ships of those that had paints.  People love bling bling even if it’s just temp.  He’ll toss the paint chest into the admiralty shop for now. 

Some of the paints where so nice it’s a shame they pretty much haven’t been used in almost a year.  

Hell would give me something to spend my victory marks on.  As I’m not going through enough 1st rates as you rarely see big SOL battles any more.

These ships are not being worked on currently. But we plan to come back to them closer to release or right after.
