Leviathan Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Could you give any specific numbers on that? I can't give you specific numbers, but from experience you are at the threshold of usefulness at that percentage. If your crew is in the 90% range you notice no/minimal effect. Generally, if you want to sail an undercrewed ship it's best to do so with a group instead of solo so you're not taking all the fire. Just keep in mind that if you start suffering crew losses while already undercrewed those effects will start to escalate quickly.
hiclipucli Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Guys i need a help for looking all ship stats . like speed, turn rate etc. bcs. i want buy ship in werhouse i cant see all stat for wessels. where can i read, or found one useful topic or page for that ?thx and sorry my bad english.
BungeeLemming Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 You can find all available data here: http://navalaction.wikia.com/wiki/NavalAction_Wikia  Since each ship you craft can be different from the one bevore its questionable to give exact figures. You should ask in the help channel if ship a is faster than ship b. Or if ship a is better turning than ship b. Spoken in relatives you get good impressions. But total numbers vary from player to player
Isochron Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 On Sunday evening (31JAN16) Pacific time I attacked an NPC trading ship that had contraband and became a pirate. I was told later that there is supposed to be a warning box if there is a chance you could become a pirate, I did not see a warning box. I reported this through the bug reporting system when it finally allowed me to on Monday (the next day). Will I ever be allowed to return to my nation without having to delete the character? I refuse to play as a pirate and do not want to start over. I have done nothing in game except to see if there are any messages in my in-game mail.
mad_blind_eric Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Curious as to why the crew number of 155 was chosen for the Niagra? Â At First Lt you have a limit of 150 which means you are sailing it ( slightly ) undercrewed. But at Lt Commander you have a limit of 200 which means the ship is competing with the Cerberus which is a whole class up. Â Seems slightly strange to me. Â cheers
Leviathan Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 It's historic complement is 155 crew  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Niagara_%281813%29
mad_blind_eric Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Fair enough - but - given our in-game ranks are artificially limited by number of crew rather than the type of ship to be commanded ( if you get me ) wouldnt it be more sensible to lose 5 crew and put it firmly into the first lt camp when it comes to command. Anyway- just a thought... just seems odd for 5 crew.. 25-30 then fair enough.. but 5? /shrug
theprof739 Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I have a couple questions, (Raised here: Â http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/9487-pvp1-territorial-changes-updated-monthly/Â ) but I'll ask here: Â 1. What is the total number of Ports in the game? (not counting any secret Islands) 2. what is the starting number of ports per faction? (i.e. 33 British, 7 US, 1 Swedish) 3. do you have a more detailed amount of demographic for each server, (what percentages of PVP1 is US, Dutch, Danish, French etc..) that we the players can see? Â Thank you.
Nelson Hornblower Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 What are the upcoming developmental plans for the game? From what I've read the UI will be improved, the map will get a face lift and possible eyeglass for open seas. Along with likely other enhancements, such as fine tuning ships, new ship, exp, etc, can you provide some of the next 3-6 months roll outs?

In a different thread of these forums a developer said to not delete your characters unless you are very sure you don't mind loosing everything on all servers except your experience points. I have been waiting a week to have my character on PvP2 returned to the United States after being made a pirate for attacking a US NPC with contraband and not getting a warning that I would become a pirate. I want to play the game and absolutely refuse to play Pirate. What am I supposed to do?
Emmer Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 (edited) I am wondering how much damage do you need to do to a ship to get assist XP? Is it a certain percentage of the total HP or something? Edited February 7, 2016 by Emmer
James Cornelius Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 It seems that there are three "shallow water" ports in the Bahamas that will allow the docking of large ships. These are Green Turtle Cay, Sandy Point, and La Desconocida. Is this an oversight, or something that is considered exploiting a bug? Or is this WAD?
Francech Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) 1) is crafting xp going to be kept after the next wipe? 2) will it be possible to transfere charactes from usa to eu?(crafting xp included) Edited February 11, 2016 by Francech
Käpt´n Blaubär Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Will there be more wipes in the future? I just got into crafting and i would really hate to lose everything i made so far!
Chustler Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 The devs have said that rank XP is the only thing that is guaranteed safe from wipes I believe.
Francech Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited)  I'm sure XP from crafting will be kept as well   Update from Admin  "crafting xp will probably be saved. UNLESS huge changes to crafting happen.. which we doubt will affect xp"   http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/8719-will-it-be-any-wipes-after-early-access-start/  It would be very nice to get a definitive answer to this question. As of now crafting xp is not ported to other characters and it seems it's not tied to steam data.  Also it would be nice to know if we can transfer characters from USA to EU once the game launches.  I am asking not because that i want to keep my xp at any cost. It just beneficial to know if it makes more sense to trow all my work hours to build ship to do pvp, or to try to unlock other ships and play more long term. I think this is a thing that would make sense to know for us testers, as crafting will be the main driver for conquering ports, to secure resources to make more ships. Also politics will revolve around the ability to craft, by trying to acquire these or deny them to others.  Anyway great game, i am enjoying it very much and hope that once it will be finished it will be even better! Vitasalato Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Hello, Â There is going to be an OS X version? Â I'm really interested in buying this game, I don't like the idea of using bootcamp as a permanent solution for playing this game.
jokash Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Can we expect some kind of quick battle or custom battle mode outside of servers, where you can select your ship and fleet, enemy, weather, time of day...basicly just have some fun outside of servers. I really like the game but i dont have the time or willpower for grinding right now and i would just like to have some battles against npc's and enyoy the battles. 1
Sven2157 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Sorry if I overlooked these elsewhere, but I have two questions. Â 1. As a Pirate, I find that it is unfair that I cannot enter a Neutral Town. Â All other factions can enter Free and Neutral ports. Â Will this be changed in the future? 2. I have located the DB file for all the ports I have visited, thus far. Â However, the database doesn't contain any of the names of the ports, just their ID. Â Is there a list of all ports, showing their actual port ID, as implemented in the game, so I can get an ID to name? Â Thanks! Â (love the water physix and look!)

Knoxville Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I have a question, I have noted that all British ships are flying the white ensign. For historical accuracy shouldn't the British traders be flying the Red Ensign as the White Ensign only flown by Royal Navy vessels? Prior to 1864 the Royal Navy flew 3 ensigns depending on which squadron of the Royal navy the ship belonged to, Red Ensign for the first squadron (the senior one) the Blue Ensign, and the White Ensign (the junior squadron).Â
poison Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) Are player coordinates sent to the player upon pressing F11, or are they (more or less) continuously sent to the player? I've noticed that my coordinates will occasionally jump by up to +/-350 points when anchored outside a port (no visible jumping). The spontaneous jump is far in excess of the +/-1-2 coordinate points continuously observed due to waves rocking the ship. It happens roughly once every 5 minutes, and most reliably occurring shortly after exiting port or selecting "quit now" and logging back in immediately. Thinking it was due to NPCs "occupying" my spot, I sailed into open ocean, with no land or vessels in sight, and tested again, only to find the jump was within the same range as I experienced right outside port (5 jumps each approximately 320-330, as compared to 10 jumps, range=315-360 near port). Note: this isn't a problem, just a curiosity of mine. I'm interested in how the servers and client process information. 2. I have located the DB file for all the ports I have visited, thus far. Sven2157 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) Are player coordinates sent to the player upon pressing F11, or are they (more or less) continuously sent to the player? ... I have already tested a bit, and found that they are a "real time stream" thing, so to speak. If you are moving, then yes they update in real time. Try this: Sail and then repeatedly hit F11, and you will see the X and Z coordinate change. Â ... Not that I know of, but if you notice there is also the time last visited information...you could backtrack. That's actually what I've been doing, sadly. If you'd like to collaborate, send me a pm. I have since found a solution to this and posted it in this thread: Trading Website. As for the time: It is just a timestamp to let you (or anyone) know when those prices were last updated; as they change. Edited February 16, 2016 by Sven2157
312_JS Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Â 1st Big content patch information: Only prepared boarding crew will fight in boarding for both sides. Â Will the rest of the crew join the fight during the course of the boarding as well (seems realistic) or is it going to be a fixed number of crew prepared at the moment the boarding starts?
