Gun Ports

Just a little thought/irritation:

 

The gun ports on the lower decks of trading vessels (e.g trader's snow) are open when there is no armament on those decks.

It would be more appropriate, in my opinion, for the ports in question to be closed.

 

Also, maybe gun ports should be closed in the open world as well, because men of war of the time would rarely sail around with open gun ports before they had 'beat to quarters'

I agree. It was pointed out before that animated gunports would be too demanding performance-wise, but there is no reason not to have static closed ports in the OW or in battle for unarmed ports.

This is a alpha and WIP. When the game is finished I am sure that all things will be in.

Yeah. Some time ago I also suggested to keep unarmed gunports closed.

But theres higher priority stuff for devs to do

(as always when some minor things come into mind)

Off topic but is there a list of known things such as unarmed gun ports been open? if there isn't then maybe one should be made so people can see what has already been reported.
