Prater Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Was going to check out Serrana but found this Baxo Nuevo Pirates Shallows -30743 -56675 Location: 1
maturin Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Please add this icon to the top right corner of your map. Very thoughtful for those members of the community who log in from Mars. 1
Bart Smith Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Or this one: http://www.mmscanadianhq.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/digital-compass.png
Booyaah Posted June 14, 2015 Author Posted June 14, 2015 Added Baxo Nuevo and a Compass Rose..unfortunately I don't think you can just pop a static image onto the map, just icons which you can't resize. You have to click it to look at a picture and even then it's kind of small. I added about 5 compass rose images, I think the 2nd one is most readable and the 4th one you can actually read the degrees. Anyways its not great but I hope it helps
DazednConfused Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 maybe add the negative X guide lines on the pacific coast by columbia, so they are easily seen but not in the way? noticed that they are not in yet. good work btw. FYI for those explorers out there - ref praters port there were islands to the SE of those on the other side of a significant shallow bank (had to go around as i was in a frig). went there b4 the patch and there were no ports but maybe there are now? LTC and Northern were with me at the time.

Bart Smith Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Well some new ports show up after last patch...so we need update soon
GrapeShot Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 What we had labeled as Walpasiksa appears to be Prinzpolka now. I have added that name as a parenthetical to the map.
Brandonchat Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Fort Zoutman (dutch) is now shallow water port (wich i hope the dev's will change back to deep water again) Edit: and they did.. Zoutman is deep water again.
Hugh Latham Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 "Longitude" and "latitude" need only be scribed to 4 digits. Beyond that it is false accuracy.

Goodblue Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Fort Zoutman (dutch) is now shallow water port (wich i hope the dev's will change back to deep water again) Wait why the hell would they do that?! There are no deep water ports around that area anymore if that is the case.
GrapeShot Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Plotted 2 new posts along the coast of Nicarague: Great Corn (pirates) - shallow X: -230918.1, Z: -261705.5 -- this is on an island that Google map shows which is east of Bluefields andGrindstone (neutral) - deep x: -261299.6, z: -297212.8 -- which is on the coast south of Bluefields
Siegfried Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Very near at north from Vieques there is a new shallow pirate port named "Pasaje". You can find it in north face of the island named Culebra in the map.
BlueEagleGER Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Barberouge said (question to developers threat) : New Edinburgh is fixed. Once again, when I press the link, it still is listed as bugged, on the other hand the picture of the map states it as regular neutral port. Edited June 17, 2015 by BlueEagleGER

Can anyone else confirm that New Edinburg is fixed? If so I will change the icon back to normal and remove the bug note. Edited June 17, 2015 by Booyaah
GrapeShot Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I should make it to New Edinburg tonight. I'll double check it to make sure it is OK.
GrapeShot Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I sailed east along the Central American coast from Matina in Costa Rica to New Edinburg in Panama. Along the way I charted (west to east) the following new ports: Talamanca (Spanish) Shallow, x: -214022.4, z:-380782.6 Almirante (neutral) Deep, x: -190430.2, z:-395143.8 Chargres (Spanish) Shallow, x: -92321.4, z:-396844.1 Playón (Spanish) Deep, x: -15063.1, z:-394389.6 I also verified Goodblue's reposition of Concepción and corrected the map accordingly. New Edinburg is now safe to leave, and has also been changed to a shallow rather than a deep port. I edited the map to reflect that information.
GrapeShot Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Continuing east along the coast of Venezuela I charted 3 more new ports: Cordobas (Spanish) Deep, x: 68883.5, z: -414789.3 Barranquilla (Spanish) Shallow, x: 138953.0, z: -311383.4 Cojoro (Spanish) Deep, x: 278518.4, z: -283868.0
GrapeShot Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Charted 2 more as I continued to sail east off of Venezuela: Mitara (Spanish) Shallow, x: 363471.7, z: -287398.6 [across the land bridge from Coro] Las Aves (Verenigde Provincien) Deep, x: 483147.3, z: -267636.0 [east of Fort Oranje]
IonAguirre Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 May I know what those coordinates mean ? Where is the 0,0 ? What are the units ? How are they defined ? Thanks a lot.
GrapeShot Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I charted another new port on the Venezuelan coast between Rio Chico and Nueva Barcelona: Piritu (Spanish) Deep, x: 591200.7, z: -354956.8
D. Federico de Gravina y N Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Tiburon, French port in the south west of Santo Domingo
