Aksark Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I'm all about immersion, so here's the kinda stuff I'll be listening too. While just chasing the horizon: While locked in an epic life or death battle: Ok...I lied... There is one song that's not apart of my immersion factor...That I will most definitely play 1
Sir. Cunningham Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I like listening to Sabaton whilst battling in NA, esp. their album Carolus Rex: 2

Mirones Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 anyone can help me find out what the classical music is? The first piece is the second movement of Dvorak's String Quartet No. 12 - the "American" quartet.
Balck Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The latter piece is reminiscent of Haydn's latter string quartets. Will have to do more research. Nice find 1
Balck Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 As I was driving home from work today, Dvorak's 7th symphony came on the radio. If you've never heard it, because it isn't as popular as his 9th, strap in for a ride The finale brought to mind a Naval Action battle. Moments of frantic activity (salvos) interspersed with moments of calmness as ships maneuver. That ending though (7:59 on)... Scene: Two ships (third rates) close on each other, both already fairly beaten up, both intent on sinking the other. Frantic maneuvers to gain any advantage to be had. Broadsides fly, smoke everywhere. As the last gun fires on his starboard side, the captain of the triumphant 74 turns his gaze to port. Victory, double shot loaded, pistol shot range... FIRE! solid shot flies at the camera through a wall of smoke. Naval Action rises from the smoke. /scene (timpani = guns) Glorious! If one of our youtube wizards could make this, perfect promo/trailer for NA! PS. Play on full volume for full effect. 2
BrutishVulgarian Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 If we ever find ourselves caught deep inland.... 1

William the Drake Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 These may be for the more... Piratically spirited. Really anything with a nice tempo, and lots of drums. how about some more sea shanties? And more drums...
Lord Roberts Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I found that this song goes very well whilst playing.
Don Alvarez Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I'm a hurdy gurdy man. Black Sails soundtrack: 1
William the Drake Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Uhm.... Both Ubisoft sooo.... Anyway, They aren't the first to come to mind for 17th-19th century sailing, but I think a number of 2 Steps from Hell pieces would fit nicely. This one happens to be my favorite https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDnJp9404Xk This one sound pretty good too, even has 'Pirate" in the name This one is also very good. There is also a version out there without the choir. 2 steps has some seriously good stuff that I think any gamer should look into. Epicness in music form
Wicked Mouse Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Not always but sometimes I turn on 1.FM Otto's Baroque Music: http://www.1.fm/station/baroque

nornica Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Mostly Ennio Morricone soundtracks for old spaggetti westerns, or Hans Zimmer.BUT..When i play yacht in big battles i usualy play this one:
Balck Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 This aught to get your feet moving. TO QUARTERS! Though it does conjure up some looney tunes tripping scenes lol
William the Drake Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 The use of Guitar, banjo, organ, flute, and accordion makes some very nice seaworthy music Also, something in similar nature to this. Kind of low and just for sailing (I prefer the symphonic version here at 2:13)
