Olof Cederström Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Approximately how many ships per nation are there going to be at the release really? I've heard that it can take months to finish ships, so I'm just curious. And I'd love if minor nations such as Sweden would have almost the same quantity of ships as, let's say, the Royal Navy. So not every player would go to them. 1
Ishigami Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 List of known vessels is here: http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/3750-list-of-ships-and-other-vessels-in-the-game/ And the origin nation of a vessel doesn't matter one bit. Never has and never will be. 1
Gridian Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Oh, thanks for explaining that. Back then boarding an enemy vessel was a normal way to win a fight - mostly preferred to sinking the enemy vessel. Constructing a new ship from scratch has always been very expensive after all! There were ships that changed hands back and forth and if a ship performed well before being taken it was a sign of respect to let it keep its name. HMS Temeraire for example started life in France (to my knowledge) for example, and there are numerous more. So, what flag a ship started its life under was many times not the same as the flag it ended its life under. Gridian 1
