I think he is suggesting airplanes, AA guns and CVs to be introduced.

Well. I think the game's called "ultimate admiral dreadnoughts" for a reason. :D Even though aircrafts would be interesting and give the 2 inch guns a purpose beyond decoration. :D

Maybe if we could duplicate submarines and minefield mechanic so that they represented aircraft carrier task forces and land based airstrike ranges respectively 🤔

Submarines and minefields are way too arbitrary, why would you want another system that you can barely influence. No if they are ever implementing carriers and land based aircraft I want to have full control over them. Same with subs. If the devs really need the money they can make them DLCs I certainly wont mind it.

But I don't think carriers would fit into the game as it is. Too many sytems that are not working correctly and too much that hasn't been implemented yet at all.

And imagine timescale of adding several dozens of aircraft models per nation.

This is exactly why I would suggest them beign handled passively in campaign only, similar to mines and submarines.

I am propably the only one thinking this way, but I kinda like these arbitrary mechanics. War is unpredictable and not everything can be controlled by naval officers in charge. If it was up to me, there would be much more mechsnics that player have no control over. For example, I think I should have little to no influnce over politics, declaration of war and war reparations. Wars start not because off, but despite of admirals. Besides, I find my suspension of disbelief collapsing when it is year 1950 and still nobody has developed naval aviotion of anykind.

Yet, that is just me.
