Hugh Latham Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I was in a pve instance with another player in a Privateer. He was able to quickly defeat a Snow and Cutter before I could enage. His technique was simple; go straight at each ship and ram midship. This appears to be a problem with game mechanics. He should have sunk as well after the first ramming. If this game is simply going to be triremes, we don't need guns.
5KnuckleChuckle Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 yeah only time I ram on purpose is if it is a small ship and I'm in something big I'll just run it over because that shit is just funny. Also if I am trying to protect the stern of a bigger ship I'll ram a ship if he is lining up for a shot...of course this is ignoring the times I accidentally ram friendlies.
StaleMemes Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 HA! just wait till we get more realistic collision physics, he does that he will lose his mast and dislodge half his cannons! We'll see who's laughing then :>
Crankey Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 He wont get points for it, Only cannon fire and boarding counts, possibly he was griefing you by taking out your kills ?
Joe Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 It's not a classy move but when open world starts it will end it a lot.
