SOMEHOTMEAL Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Hi there, I’ve been really enjoying Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts, but I’ve encountered a significant performance issue during the ship design phase, especially when working with larger, more complex ships. Despite having 64GB of RAM on my system, the game only seems to utilize a maximum of 2.9GB, leading to severe frame drops—sometimes as low as 1 frame per second—when designing heavy ships. To illustrate the problem, I’ve attached a screenshot showing my system specs and the memory usage during the ship design process. Suggestion: Would it be possible to introduce a setting that allows players to allocate more memory to the game? This could be done through a command line option like -heapsize, or better yet, an in-game slider that lets us adjust memory usage based on our system's available resources. This could greatly improve the performance during ship design, making the experience smoother for those of us with higher-end systems. Thanks for considering this, and keep up the great work on the game!
