Morningstar Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Are you sure they’re supposed to go this fast? 15000 ton pre-dreadnoughts, built for 15kn What the heck.
Morningstar Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 For this photo I’m running NAR, but it has happened frequently with 20kn dreadnoughts in vanilla, too, and for basically any ship.
Morningstar Posted December 10, 2023 Author Posted December 10, 2023 (edited) 20 ship dreadnought division, plz nerf I guess I could have supersonic bbs soon Edited December 10, 2023 by Morningstar Weing photo
Lima Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 It's a feature. When ships try to take the right place in a division, they may exceed the speed limit to catch up with the division. This was done in 1.10 beta IIRC. This leads to this chaos when assembling large divisions, but on standard divisions (4) it works just fine. 1
Morningstar Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) I know it’s a feature, but they still had massive trouble trying to sort themselves out, just couldn’t avoid collisions even with avoid on. No Jutland battle line for me I guess, the last five ships just kept ramming into each other and doing donuts. The first ten or so vessels were fine. Wonder what Target High Speed debuffs the enemy will get Edited December 11, 2023 by Morningstar
Morningstar Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 So apparently collision avoidance just doesn’t work anymore, might be NAR at work, gonna see if that’s the case in vanilla.
Lima Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) You can order one division to "Follow" the other. This way you can make a stable battle line of a dozen ships from several small divisions. Such a formation will break up a bit when turning, but in general it will work fine. Morningstar Posted December 11, 2023 Author Posted December 11, 2023 Thank you! Surprisingly the Target Fast Speed debuff is only 93% for 120 kn BB.
