English not being my native language, I certainly might have misread the thought behind your post Asbo. I've just perceived that many people seem to think the request as begging and wanted to remind that at this point there is mutual gain to be had for both the customer and supplier, so reasonable requests need not be of begging in nature, but based on mutual respect instead.

Cheers, and see you at the high seas some day, sir!

Discovered this sim when it was a little too late from some posts and an article on Sim HQ,

My family have had a long history of either going to sea or working on ships, from the early 1700s right up to myself who is the last of my family and trained as a radar technician with Decca Radar and working on the fishing boats around the UK.

One of my past relatives was a seaman and Captain of renown and served in the fledgling US navy then later in the Russian and French navies. In the family he was known as the black sheep that turned coat and fought for the emerging American nation after changing his name  from John Paul to John Paul Jones.

So I am looking forward to getting in to this sim in what ever way I can, and hopefully I can try and save the Bonhomme Richard from those pesky English sailors :D

Jumping on this late, but I too recently found about this game, watched about 3 hours videos, and then released the pre-purchase was closed :|

Edit: If you can and are looking to start playing the game sooner than later you should follow the directions stated earlier and contact the developer, they are extremely open and great to deal with!

And I will have your back

So I recently came across this game and would love to buy it right now, but I read on the site that it isn't available for purchase anymore for the time being. When will it be up for purchasing again?

Thank you for support Captains..

We stopped sales to be able to control the inflow of new players to the community. Pro-Active forum members who want to be excellent to each other and do really want to support the product and be active in testing might be able to buy the game earlier. Bring your case to info (at) game-labs email and you might find the way in.

hope it does not sound cheesy or something..

it will be a good boost for the game to have new blood in it, as theres not a lot of players in pvp at the mo as most are off testing open world cant wait to get access to open world myself same for some of my mates but we enjoy the game so we stick with pvp for the mo. Hope some of the other captains who want to get in can get in new people to show the ropes to always helps us old captains enjoy the game that bit more.

Hope to see some of you ingame.

most are off testing open world

Uh, what? I don't think that's the case, unless the devs have started inviting the "old testers" already and I haven't heard of it or I'm not remembering something.

Also, a friendly bit of advice: better communication = people understanding you more. Good English helps.

I came across this game on youtube, what a beautiful looking game!

I ordered a new 500 gb ssd so I could fit more games onto my pc, unfortunately by the time it arrived pre-orders had been closed :(

Looking forward to when it's available again.

Good to point out a post on page 3 from Henry d'Esterre Darby. If you want to get in to the game on this stage, Send them a email and let them know that what i did and I´m in the game now learning and getting in the way of the big boy's in pvp but having a blast. For a game on this level the fee might be a bit in high but worth it 3x over for me.

For a old sailor (fisherman) who is bound at home from now on this is a good thing to have some thing to do

Got to add my support to this topic too. Recently came across the footage on youtube and scared my poor girlfriend with my yelps of excitement. Awaiting the opportunity to support developemement as soon as it is made open again :) lovely jubbly, only game i have ever sat watching 30 min video's of from start to finish ever.

Good job to date as far as i can tell.

Yup I'm in the same boat as you last two hopefuls.  Looking forward to getting wet in either the near or more distant futures (hopefully the former).

Tomorrow will tell if we get our first assignment at sea !

Did you write an email to the developers? If so did you get an answer?

I haven't heard back from them so i'm not holding my hopes up too much.

Would be lovely try out the game during the weekend.

Yes, I wrote them an email 5 days ago. I got an answer within the next 24hrs.

Guessing that may be new patch and Open World make them pretty busy ? You could write them another email ?

Be quick, Steam keys usually are sent on friday !
