How about incorporating a painting system into ship design? I call it as "Camouflage Editor"

This would be fantastic for showing the progression from the black and buff Victorian navy through the world wars. It would also give the Italians their famous identification stripes as an option, I can think of a few other iconic schemes, like the Russian fleet in 1904, black and white or very light grey, all with yellow funnels with black tips.
