Vholes Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 AU:D 1.2.4 campaign. I hope I'm missing something obvious... In my current campaign game I'm Austria-Hungary (1890) with the Ottoman Empire as a minor ally, with them ordering my ship designs to be built in my shipyard. The Ottomans have been ordering upgraded designs of my ships, say a TB Python (1892), which my shipyards immediately start building. When _I_ try building Pythons, I can't build the 1892 upgrade, only the 1890 original and then upgrade to Python (1892) later on. Am I meant to be able to directly build ship upgrades? Am I forced to duplicate the Python (1892) design to build it? Why can my shipyard build upgraded designs for the Ottomans but not for me? Is there a way for me to build the upgraded designs? The build button always is greyed out... Vholes
PhoenixLP44 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 yes you have to make a copy of the design to be able to build it

I just find it an unjustifiable restriction, looking all the more stupid for my shipyards building Python (1892) for the Ottomans. Vholes 1
