Felime Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Love seeing more designs popping up to populate campaigns with. Never knowing exactly what is going to be thrown at me is a big draw. I've updated my ship pack to 1.1.3Live, mostly just re-balancing and fixing the few ships that adjustments made overweight: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ij7lg3gp0uhxkss/Felimes big ship bundle 1900-1930 1-1-3Live.zip?dl=0
Felime Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 Maybe I should get my own thread so I'm not filling up this one with each update, but I've checked everything for 1.1.4, and added 100 new hand designed ships for a total of 722. Tried to get enough variety in design philosophy for the AI to surprise me in a strict shared designs campaign, and to fill in some of the hulls that were made available earlier as shared designs. Also learned some fun new layouts for a few ships and created a couple abominations that struck fear into my heart. (Somehow I managed to fit 18 8" and 30 5" barrels on a 1930s spanish cruiser while maintaining good firing arcs) https://www.dropbox.com/s/a1c99utksd7us7j/Felimes big ship bundle 1900-1930 1-1-4.zip?dl=0 1

Cheers! UPDATE: I finished all the IJN designs I wanted/was able to make and packed them in one .rar file for easier download. If some ships didn't make it to the list, that's most likely because I wasn't able to create them with the existing hulls or they would be identical to an other design. Enjoy! 2
Felime Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Added another hundred designs up to 822, for the 1.1.8 version of the pack. Thanks to Stealth17 for some inspiration on different ship layouts and design philosophies. https://www.dropbox.com/s/e16bcycxnsh50hr/Felimes big ship bundle 1900-1930 1-1-8.zip?dl=0 1
ozzy.88 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Aaand... here come's the US Navy: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16F7rCQkDMtmGoQVxgNFJ5FQzcFG87InN?usp=share_link A guy I met on steam (D4rkN1ghtm4r3) decided to make the american historical warships, so for those of you who use steam version, be sure to find his guide and give him a thumbs up It's a work in progress so new ships will appear on the list in the near future. 2
Felime Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 The delete button is now working, and I was able to jury rig a way to edit overweight designs, so the big ol' pack is updated to 1.2.2R. Please note that if you just copy this over a previous install, it won't remove all the overweight designs, as they have different names now. You can delete all the old ships (they should all have the same last modified date) and replace them with this pack. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bgk6v2usraanm05/Felimes Big Ship Bundle 1900-1930 1.2.2R.zip?dl=0 Oh, and there's also 1000 designs now. I replaced a few of the worse AI designs left over from the original pack, and added a whole lot of new ones, as always trying to keep them widely varied. A number of these are capitol ships taking advantage of the more viable big guns.
Guest Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 very nice! thanks for all the work and effort For the time being I am a freerider, but hopefully i will have time soon(tm) to make a proper set myself to share

When the shared designs first came out I really felt that what the game was missing was a big library of designs to just plonk down into the folder and play with mostly competent designs on the AI side. In related news, an expanded version, up to 1100! https://www.dropbox.com/s/a4xwa1t1nb6gdyf/Felimes Big Ship Bundle 1900-1930 1.2.4.zip?dl=0 There's a few post 1930 designs in this one, but I got bored with the inflexibility of the hulls and went back to designing silly dreadnought era designs whenever I had a spare couple minutes to kill.
ozzy.88 Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 I had some free time recently and did another country's navy - France this time: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_xYzBdgOvtK-j5kx3ysw8b7AzTmFSmaA Enjoy 2
Aruon Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 hey how do you get these imported into the game? i've never done this before and I have nowhere near the time needed to create a ton of shared designs

Felime Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 (edited) Aaaaand another UPDATE. For this one I mainly got the 1900, 1910, and 1920 start dates to the point where every hull has a ship for the AI to draw from. Random technology may or may not screw it all up for strict shared-design, but more ships is more gooder, right? Total up to 1342 designs. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s2q6x2z6bwpvyhc/Felimes Big Ship Bundle 1900-1930 1-2-6.zip?dl=0 Edited March 9, 2023 by Felime 2

lord_protector Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 @ozzy.88 could you reupload the US Navy bunch, it's not on the download page anymore. Thx for the work.
ozzy.88 Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 I can't, but their author already did - go to his steam guide here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2932612404 The link there is updated and working.
ozzy.88 Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 And finally Kaiserliche Marine and Deutsche Kriegsmarine: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12amn9Iz65aPMCkgDDyvVFtQU223forzu?usp=sharing Enjoy (FYI I have no plans of making Royal Navy in foreseeable future - too many ships, too little free time 😕 ... so that's it from me for now)
Fangoriously Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SDhz3EY_a0ukGA9qpCho7XkhHB4apU4r/view?usp=share_link Here is a complete collection of hand made 1929 ships, 1 BB, 1 BC, 1 CA, 1 CL and 1 DD design for every faction, 50 ships in total. I made them in hopes that I could make the computer opponents in the campaign use them, to no avail sadly. They are top notch opponents in custom battles at least, even though they are optimized for a campaign setting. All a tremendous bang for the buck, no ludicrous super ships, all built to be as compact, low, and fast as possible. Most capital ships manage at least 35 knots, some well in excess of that, have ~12 main guns of 15/16in, and 15 in belt/8in deck armor. Each faction has a consistent and specific flavor, fleet wide they have as many parts and guns in common as possible. I'll even throw in a photo gallery 1
Werwaz Posted April 15, 2023 Author Posted April 15, 2023 Its certainly been a while since I've been on here so I added and revamped a few of my designs.
