Hi

As you all know there are some new screenshots of open world on Naval Action facebook page. I'm looking at them hole day long and I cant get rid of a feeling that those trees are 2D sprites! Dont get me wrong, I think this game is amazing and I would probably pay another 40$ to play open world build, but those trees...ok this game is not about forest etc but I would like to know.

Are they 2D or not 2D, that is the question...pun intended :)

Take care lads!

I do agree that the trees don't do justice to the beautiful skyline and water but its early and to the devs credit there are a lot of trees to render. I hope they improve though but its not a big deal to me. Its always been gameplay > graphics.

I'm not say they are bad. But they ar 2D, thats it. :)

the game is not about trees, but what is made of them. People interested in the textures and form of trees will not find enough content in Naval Action to enjoy it :)

I like the trees actually.

I am very excited about depth sounding channels and shallows - hope we can do that. Shallows shown in one pic.

Also excited about the night.

Only thing that concerns me at the moment is that the "cliffs of dover" style shores may not be represented... Are their any cliff shorelines I says mateys?

I think as long we won't have 'land battles' those trees are more than only ok. First, ships, all naval mechanics and appearance (war and peace) must be fine developed, also naval gameplay and possibilities, then there can be thoughts if 'naval' action can also mean 'beach' action ;). Then par example palm trees should not be only a piece of scenery.
