1440p support

The game is lacking a 2560x1440 resolution option and forcing it with 

-screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440

as per unity commands will open it at that resolution but it will resized back to game presets once it loads. Since the game config got encrypted its no longer possible to set this resolution. Any hope of getting this added?

This is embarrassing, but after looking at my drivers I realized my combination of ultrawide monitor and drivers didn't report 2560x1440 as an available resolution, but I could force it with a custom resolution in the drivers. Consider the issue an user error on my part.

I was confused because I play at 1440.  Glad you figured it out.
