I spent an hour and a half in the last fight JUST trying to form up one of my task forces into proper battle lines, and they WILL NOT FOLLOW ORDERS! It's frustrating at best. Though those were not the words I've used in the last 2 hours. These are mostly veteran crews!

First off, my TF begins the fight with two of my battleships, fresh out of port, at 92% structural. There was not one ship in my fleet damaged and they all just left port. I had so many WTF moments in this battle...it just boggles the mind. I'm facing 4/5s of the British 545 ship fleet (It was 400 ships exactly). With 34 ships. This made the entire fight a god danged slideshow again. And then for 90 MINUTES(!) I'm trying to form up those 34 ships into proper battle lines, with the battleship vanguard at 9 kts, and at the end of that 90 minutes only half could be described as just getting there. By the time I got involved with their very first screen, I WAS ALONE WITH THE BB DIVISION WHILE THE REST OF THE FLEET WAS WAY IN THE REAR AGAIN!

Don't you think it's time to make a better game experience than THIS? The best part of this game is the battles. (with design a close 2nd) And the battles are annoying and frustrating.

Every one of my ship commanders have been lined up on the gallows at the end of very short ropes. Except for Kurfurst Friedrich Wilhelm. That wasn't his fault. That commander will be  pulling the lever!

I was only able to reduce that fleet by 88 ships without losing any. It would have been a LOT more if my own fleet would listen to me.

I mean your problem is right there in your screenshots: the "avoid collisions" and "avoid torpedoes" buttons are on, which means your ships will ignore their formation/your orders if they think they will collide with another ship or if there's an enemy torpoedo somewhere within 10 lightyears. If you want your ships to keep their formation you'll have to turn them off.

Is that so? I will give it a tryout.
