1.06 custom battle freeze

So with the most recent 1.06 beta update, it's impossible to do custom battles. I click on it on the main menu and the game goes unresponsive. It takes killing it through windows to close the game. Same thing happens when I stay on the main menu for to long.

Update: turns out it was an issue regarding my graphics driver, a fresh install of the latest version fixed it.
