Unfortunately, this forum isn't used much. They all shifted over to Steam or Discord. I suppose you should ask there.

As the absolute newbie not knowing what to do the best idea however would be first to sail on PvE server. Has the advantage of available global chat and help chat, so you can even ask IN GAME (how spectacular is that?!!). And you will not get frustrated so soon in first encounters at sea.
