So it seems after any battle a task force will return to port. Eg I had a battle with my 4 cl that had a meeting engagement with 3 tbs destroyed them all taking no damage but yet still they went back to port (1 to a far away port as well) but there was no reason for them to rtb. Its the same with any task force after any battle win or lose damage or not

Even better, it'd be nice if we players could make the decision, rather than an arcane calculator and game logic deciding to send them a captain feels like.

On the post-battle summary screen, just let click a checkbox for RTB and select a valid port to go back to (i.e.. heavily damaged ships might not be able to sail half-way across the globe, but at least let us choose nearby ports, varying the range on how heavily damaged the ship is).

Anything related to alleviating this ridiculous system whereby we spend half or more of our gametime shuffling ships around ports gets a vote from me. I have posted on this general subject extensively multiple times...
