haven't seen this mentioned yet but moving linked elements in the designer (say, a superstructure) doesn't move sublinked elements

for example, lets say you've got a superstructure with a funnel on it. moving the superstructure moves the funnel just fine. BUT if there are turrets on the funnel, it won't move those. the moving only seems to propagate one level: as another example, moving a main superstructure with a connected secondary superstructure won't move funnels on the secondary superstructure

super annoying, because these parts that don't move will prevent you from placing the component back if you, say, clicked it by accident. then you have to delete the whole frickin thing & start over.

This is definitely one of those lingering problems.

One of the times it really matters is if you link the main tower and the secondary tower to create a fixed superstructure. Then, when you move one of the towers, both towers move, but none of the stuff on the second one moves (or even the barbette that's also linked, or the turret on that barbette [sub-sub-link?])

I've grown used to working around the linking feature (by not using it), but it should be fixed nonetheless.

Just adding to say yep, this happens to me too, and it is exceptionally annoying when you're doing fiddly adjustments to get the balance fore/aft just right., because the unmoved subsubsubmounts get in the way and you have to try to rebuild everything from scratch.
