0 victory points for a Campaign Convoy Mission

Earlier today I had a Convoy mission in the 1890 campaign. My three British CA's were pitted against a German BB, CA, TB, and 10 TR's. The battle victory conditions were to sink 75% of the TR's while keeping 50% of my fleet afloat.

The battle concluded with me sinking 100% of the TR's (I kept going after sinking the 8th TR and getting the pop up to end the battle) and keeping all of my CA's afloat. I did not sink any of the German warships. I got ZERO victory points while the German received 5.

The victory points results have me confused. Is it a bug? Is that how it's supposed to be, only getting victory points if I engage and sink enemy warships? Should I have ended the battle when the pop up occurred?

Again I had another small convoy raid mission. This time with 3 of my CA's against 3 German CA's and 7 TR's.

I sank all 7 TR's, taking only light damage to one of my ships. Never saw the German CA's.

Once again I received ZERO victory points while the Germans got 1.

IMO for a mission like this the TR's should be the main target, which should result in earning some victory points for fulfilling the battles victory conditions.
