Are they going to do land battles like they did with age of sails?

so just a question, not that i want it or anything, but i would preferer it just to be a ship battle game and not land battles. also no carrier please, they really ruins the game, sure they exists but common we are playing a game with whacky ship design, adding carrier wouldn't be more realistic it would just ruin the fun.

no as far as im aware from previous discussions where the creators have commented. their are no carriers planned for this game although they have talked about potentially doing another game with carriers or an expansion. as to land battles nothing hs been said but given the style of this ultrimate admiral game id doubt its viable

Actually, if anything, adding Aircraft Carriers would make the game a lot more realistic. 

I don't think so, there is no indication it'll exist, but if they do for some reason, they'll be making a big mistake.

I really hope they don't. Would detract massively from the core game.

Doubtful. Plus, the time period covered by the game would require you to basically make multiple games, late 19th C, WWI, WW2, etc.

the most I could see in terms of land battles in this game might be support fire for amphibious invasions, but not much beyond that.
