Possibility of workaround for bugged mission load?

Hi!

So I made a post detailing my issue in a Steam discussion thread (https://steamcommunity.com/app/1069660/discussions/0/2949285188580083809/), but in retrospect I should've posted on the actual forum, aka here.

Long story short, I'm hoping to find a way to skip the "Pocket Battleship" mission in the Naval Academy; unfortunately it appears to be bugged and is preventing me from continuing in enjoying the hell out of the new shiny Core 0.5 experience in the naval academy (It's seriously fun as hell, can't stress how excited I am for this game). Anyways, I am trying to figure out if there's a way to edit my savefile so I can bypass the currently bugged mission. But the program files are a little esoteric and I could use a helping hand finding/editing them.
