Buoyant_Friend Posted April 10, 2021 Posted April 10, 2021 Since I bought UAD I've been really impressed by the quality of it as an (alpha stage - for sure) game platform. The freedom of ship design, graphics and prospects of a campaign make this title one of the most promising as far as naval sims go. I've completed several academy missions but my focus has always been the custom battle. There's one thing the academy has and which lack of in custom I don't quite understand. Are there plans to implement fixed tonnage/cost for both player and AI ship designs for custom battles? Because this would really force the player to design smart ships under specific limits and at the same time make the AI try doing the same. Right now I oftentimes see the AI choosing either hulls far bigger than mine or a lot smaller and older which makes some custom battles unbalanced (in either way) from the start. A limit on costs/tonnage would address this issue and since it already exists in academy missions that might not be hard to do. Anyway I'm just asking because it struck me as weird that such an option is not present. Forgive me if that issue has already mentioned somewhere - the forum got quite bloated with suggestions and issues and I honestly was too lazy to look for it thoroughly.
