SrJuanma121 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I am wondering if open world will have free camera mode. Think that it could help people to find land if there are lost, or find other player's ships and this would be like some kind of cheating. However, some of us like to take lot of screenshots and to record cinematics for youtube, and this tool is fantastic for doing that. Maybe you can adjust the free camera movement limitation to a 1km area around your ship. This could be a solution to have everyboddy happy. What do you think about it?
Sir Madoc Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 No way.... this would ruin the game mechanics. That feature should be for Game-Labs staff only.
Ned Loe Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 No free camera for open world. Just add x1000 zoom from your ship like the one they had in POTBS, so we can make nice videos of the terrain. No harm can be done if your system can handle it. Note, you can't simply fly anywhere in the open world, you should just be able to zoom out further. However, keep the free camera as it is when you are in battle.
Caball Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 However, keep the free camera as it is when you are in battle. No not even that ... If a Merchant choice to run in a stormy foggy battle map and the attacker cant track him anymore free camera will ruin his survival chances
Leviathan Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 It's a cool feature for sea trials but it would be exploited tremendously in the open world especially in combat. Also, there would be no need to explore if you could simply 'zoom' your way to land before starting your voyage.
