ChristianLove Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Coastline looks amazing. I love the way this game looks. I can't wait to get in and sail a bit.
Brigand Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 The coast looks really nice! Any chance we could get a more close-up screenshot of it ? 1
Captain Armstrong Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Nice work! I like how you have a realistic taffrail for the Constitution, rather than the current 1840s-esque version. Though you've opted for the current oversized headrails, It appears there is a more elegant version in the plans, which is intriguing. Certainly recognition value with the ones currently on the real constitution though. what plans are you using out of curiosity? also you may have to remove the planked in area above the top headrail or replace it with netting to allow the bow chasers to fire. Sorry I realize my comments are rather nitpicky, but I have modeled a fair number of ships myself, so I tend to see things in terms of what decisions I would've been faced with building a ship. I hope I don't cause offense, you guys are doing fine work! 1
Exiffa Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Nice work! I love that you're putting a lot of time and effort into sailing and shooting characteristics. It will be such a thrill to finally play a sailing game that isn't just "Press button to shoot" or "Press button to accelerate". Even the famous build mod suffers from these simple mechanics. Although that is likely due to engine limitations of the POTC game. Keep up the good work! 1
