catloverjerrygarcia Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 My only suggestion would be to have the hull be modular/sectional(tall order probably) but also with different width options as well. Because a short fat BB can turn tighter but will be slower and a slender longer BB will be crazy fast but have a wider turn. 4
FlyingToaster Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 A long BB also needs much more armour than a short one. It's the primary reason pre-dreadnoughts were so short - keep the mass of armour down (or increase protection for a given mass). 4

RedParadize Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I get most of my fun from designing ships, and I dream about designing ships in context of a planned strategy. Atm, because of limitation, ballance and a lack of diversity in the builder. Its ratter slim. I mostly built the same ship over and over.
Warbie Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 (edited) Definitely +/- button additions to the sliders such as displacement, range, speed etc... Defined and/or highlighted armour modules on the 3D, so players know which parts of the ship armour are being increased. Internal quarters/modules highlighted if not necessarily modelled, with the option to replace or shuffle them, which effects the real-time-battle ship sections and damage taken. Hopefully when campaign mechanics are further fleshed out, you will find a greater reason to diversify your ship designs. At the very least you will have to make minelying cruisers and destroyers, something I can't wait to try out. I have always liked naval mines. Not to mention ASW ships will be needed in a parallel game mechanic to the mines. Edited December 29, 2021 by Littorio 1
