DerRichtigeArzt Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 We need more communication between the dev team and the community. Right now @Nick Thomadisposts a feature update every 2-3 months and that's mostly it. There is another game in development that I am closely following, it's called starbase. Starbase devs release weekly updates. I feel like something like this would speed up development in the long run. Eg: @Nick Thomadis releases a weekly info page of the features that are under "construction" a couple of screen shots, maybe some concept art, and definetly links to source material (historical documentation and stuff) then we, the community voice our opinions "the gun is too small/large for its caliber, this funnel on so and so ship was at an angle, this hull should be thicer/more slender, and so on" devs make slight corrections on the fly while the model is not yet fully finished and therefore easier to work with. That way we would get better patches, and more importantly, a way better player-dev interaction. Voice your opinions, is it a good idea or should I be thrown into the brig? 4
Skeksis Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 (edited) Yes very quiet, not a single acknowledgement since the hotfix. That makes me think they’ve gone back into the 'dungeon' and won’t be back out until their next task is done (could mean that allocation for more hotfixes is spent too), "it is the way". It would be bad for issues to linger though (this time). Edited December 1, 2020 by Skeksis
