Kommandant Flauschige Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 Even if you have low graphics settings, Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts is a beautiful game. And I don't know what other people like, but I like to stop and smell the flowers when I have a beautiful game to appreciate. Something that every other naval game has lacked is the ability to zoom into any place on a ship, to really get an up-close look at whatever you've built or are fighting against. Is this something that maybe is in the works, or is in consideration for a future version of the game? 2
Cptbarney Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 you can get the camera into a sort of free mode thing, and can zoom into non-selected ships as long as the camera isn't attached to any ship really. atm, models are more basic than usual, but thats fine too be honest.
Kommandant Flauschige Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 I was playing just now and noticed that.... Thanks for the mention! : ) But you can't do that in the shipbuilder... 1
Kommandant Flauschige Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 Wait, you can with WASD. I'll delete this topic! 1

Yes, you can zoom in a bit without a ship in Target and then let it drive "through" the camera. But it would be really really cool if you could zoom in more when following a ship 1
prreich Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Maybe it's a concern about texture and model detail quality. The game limits the zoom level to where it would still look good to avoid showing any less detailed parts while zooming in
Kommandant Flauschige Posted November 22, 2020 Author Posted November 22, 2020 Yeah, Atlantic Fleet had this problem too - the ship models were good, until you realized all the gun barrels were actually square.
