Tutorial on Demasting Wont Work

As was pointed out by another in this forum the Demasting Tutorial is bugged  I can hit the mast 100 times and it will not fall, but the test opens and in the test I demast the ship easily.  But the Tutorial will not advance and unlock the next stage because the Demasting Tutorial will not complete.

I know this is ancient, but you have to aim higher than what it tells you to. Aim mid mast and that should do it.
