speed reduction

General reduction of ship speed makes every 1 Rate Battle to an very likely boarding event. This may be a wanted effect in PVP, but in PVE, when you level your ship, it is very very frustrating to loose  against NPC because you can not speed up fast enough any more.

feedback on fleets 

with the new speed update the speed for fleets is reduced as well

but for "play this game" it is just for fleets to much :

the fleet speed what seems to be -25 % penalty +/-

makes the fleets do 15 knots max wind angle 

also against the wind 30 degrees the fleet goes 4 knots

 

@admin is it possible to to reduce the fleets only to -10% penalty

and the against the wind to 6-8 knots instead of the 3 to 4 knots

its feels like parking a vessel in a port.

if you stare at a vessel in ow somewhere in OW you get the need to do something else. 

 

groups who are considered to be in a fleet (with group invite) also have no penalty  

perhaps a consideration is to remove the fleet speed away  for all fleets  (fair winds for everybody)

i dont understand, pratically if i have a fleet of 3 tlynx i have a malus on my speed in OW ?

well with the new update on speed what suppose to be a correction 

the values for having a mixed 4 rate fleet is back >> to old values (and therefore with the penalty it  is a bit to much )

not talking about 3 of the same 

but when mixed is is a pain (again)

I noticed this change to ship speeds the other night. Was it announced? I didn't see it anywhere but may have missed it or the significance of what was announced. Is it related to the wood changes or independent?
