Have been following this game for about 2 weeks now and watch numerous video's and really want to join in in the action. Unfortunately i am in the process of upgrading my system (trying to find a reliable motherboard) and have ordered my new parts which should be in this week. The only downside is at this time I do not have a working standalone graphics card that supports DirectX 11. My 7870 1ghz died a few months ago along with my motherboard and I am planing on replacing it however with the new AMD graphic cards coming (380X, 390X) I am trying to hold out as I do not want to buy something that will be worthless in a few months so I have to make due with a Nvidea 295 GTX which overall is o.k but it only supports DirectX 10. Having said this I do have the integrated Intel 4600 graphics card that does run DirectX 11 although I understand from reading these forums that everything has to be set to low . Well I hope I can purchase the game the end of the week and I will just have to play a waiting game for the new range of graphics cards to come out (was hoping they were coming up end of this month however it looks like it will be sometime between April and July so quite a wait  . I hope to see you all in game soon.

I just joined (but sucks because I bought in on friday and have to wait till next week *sigh*) but and check out some youtube channels (jayztwocents comes to mind) and they are really good at letting you know how good a card you will be getting and help you make some good choices on your cards. Hope to see you on the seas (and in my gun sights >:D)

I run the game on Ultra and generally get 33 FPS, with ~24 FPS in 50 man Trafalgar matches (that's ALOT of cannonballs).  Anyways, I share only to make you aware that the graphics card does not need to be HIGH end...

Granted, I'm going to get an Nvidia 980 once the prices come down again....
