Makes boarding easier though. :D

Despite that, since they can sail away with a very valuable loot, making event battles not be available for lokis sounds like a good idea.

It also takes twice as many shots than normal to chain down an elite cause they have magical cloth sail made by elfs from narnia

Both are, an implemented item is supposed to prevent exploits. Many good suggestions have been made about how to improve it.

People can just fight and have fun. They choose not to. Is on the people :) 

Any more implementations is just to remove the human absurdity of it. I agree.

Nah sorry but again many ways to prevent that way of griefing have been suggested. The feature is nice but half-assed.

Most of the times, when a Loki enters in my fights, I got an easy kill, sometimes easier against a Loki than against an NPC. Last time yesterday, Loki LGV surrendered to my privateer as soon as his sails were reduced to 68%, a NPC never does that.

Only one time, I got sunk: I was in a traders lynx, Loki in a LGV.

If player like to use it, why not? This do not create a lot of fun not a lot of danger to others. But if they like it, ...

I actually like Loki runes!

I can hop onto the game, play a quick match and be on my way. 

I dont care if i loose the fight. (Only if i had to pay for the loki rune or if i had to farm pve to get pvp oh wait ... that's how it is...)

But generally speaking I get a quick fight and im happy with either outcome. It's all practice.

 

I like them. I dont like their overall implementation, but i like the general concept. 

Here's how I would alter their concept, based on a early thought of admin himself. (Early means like 5 years ago)

 

You thought about giving people the option to be on "duty" so one could be in port and when an ally npc gets attacked, you could choose to jump into the attacked ship. I would love that feature. The enemy would still get a perfect tag, but the player wouldnt start the fight with 30%hp, but rather with a fresh ship. 
If that's hard to program i would love loki runes to just be for free. Why do you have to do pve to get pvp? I never understood that concept. If i get the loki option for free, i would provide entertaining pvp battles for everyone all the time. And tagging an npc might become really dangerous.

 

There is something else that i love about loki runes. I get to see what fights people choose to take. Its really funny how often i am faced with overwealming forces. I get spawned into a wasa. My enemy is a victory.  So it's really funny to see what kinds of fights people deem "worth their time".

(I'm not sure... Do you only spawn into elite ships? Maybe someone can clarify that mechanic for me.)

@Puchu,

You may spawn in any situation except AI in player fleets and AI in Kill Missions.

So you can spawn in any OW AI, including Elite ships and Home defense fleets.

P.S. - I'm not sure if port Raids mission AI can be Loki'ed.
