Last night I was looking for De Ruyters as many other players are. After searching for 2 hours I finally tagged one in the midst of many groups in the same area, avoiding getting sunk by them. 

After the battle closes, a player lokis into the Ruyter, after he knew he wasn't winning the fight he simply sailed away with the boosted speed given to elite AI ships and I had no chance to catch back up to him. Minutes later he leaves the fight. 

Why is a loki even allowed to escape a battle? All it does it ruin the experience of the game for the player facing the loki and 'saves an AI ship' (?). If the loki player decides to quit or escape the fight then he/she should simply lose control of the loki and AI should take back control of it. If the loki player stops fighting or tries to sail away they should also automatically lose control of the loki. 

I wasted 2 hours of my time for a stupid frustrating experience because some player felt like being a dick, they gained nothing from escaping the fight. Only to ruin another player's experience because haha *troll*

How many threads need to be created about broken loki mechanics until something is done to address the issues? Why is it a priority for some loki get his 15 minutes of fun over ruining 2 hours of someone else's time with the game?

That's why you always chain the ai first.

Why should it be silly? What are we doing by pvp? Trying to make enemy slower than yourself so you can play with it.. 

 

Its quite simple. 1 good chain Salvo =bring enemy below 70-60% and a Loki can't even escape anymore=100% achieve of the objective. So you wouldn't have wasted time. But hey. It's just a help. You don't need to do it.
