cwhazzoo Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 But recently it looks like Ukraine's monetary value has plummeted the last few days. From what I understand GameLabs is based in Ukraine. Just hoping you guys are coping with it ok.
nebsif Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 well as long as we are not paying them in the Ukrainian or Russian currency it should be fine me thinks edit: uhh unless they get conscripted :/
Chustler Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I have also been hoping that current events don't escalate for everybody's sake... 3
spadde Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Where in ukraine are they? East or west, north or south?
Bixol Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 They are in kiew and as long as we pay them in $ it's not a problem
Robert Danforth Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 In fact, if the Hryvnya drops compared to the Dollar and the Euro, they actually make out better. E: Well, sort of. If it ends up being a long term issue, inflation will sort of kill that.
SueMyChin Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 You're always welcome to come and work from my home office if you like though
Mirones Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 inflation will sort of kill that. time to send them some ounces then that i got flying around atleast the HMS Endeavour is on the backside
Megiddo Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing. I hope these people are safe!!! (Important things first and this game is not important)

maturin Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 At least they're not Graviteam, who are based in Kharkov where separatists are carrying out terrorist bombings. Ironically, Graviteam is developing a WWII game set on the Mius Front, where some of the fietcest fighting took place last year. Certain battles from 1943 were essentially refought, with the very same trenches reexcavated. http://inthefray.org/2014/09/unearthing-another-war-ukraine-russia/
Crankey Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Regardless of the financial situation I hope a peace can be reached soon and the Ukraine permitted to get back to its old self. Good luck over there.
admin Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Thanks for asking Captains - we all appreciate this a lot. We are located in Kiev and doing ok. But if something changes we will let you know first. Locking this topic - Too much politics and instability in the world we want to keep this forum for age of sail discussions. 8
