Collisions, and Piping

Of late I have tried using piping [signals by sound, such as 6,7 and 8], to avoid collisions with frendlies...

 

Has anyone else used this method to warn others of danger ?

 

Or have you noticed others using this as a warning ?

If I hear a whistle, I and I didn't change a sailing / gunnery / survial focus, then I know there is a potential collision.  One whistle I believe is warning, 2 whistles very close proximitry.

 

Or I dreamed that part...not sure.

 

But yes.  I use the whistles.

You have the proximity bell sound already.

I sometimes press 6-7 few times in a row, so it sounds like some train is coming. Works every time.

I didnt know you could sound the whistles manually?
