This is not in Russias favor, clans like CABAL and HAV0C which has a number of good players, does not need screening anymore. Clans like SHOCK, BF and REDS can now not rely on screeners, and the Brits with their numbers wont be able to use their numbers either.

so you just knocked out about 90% of the RvR play for most of us.  Some nations don't have elite players and have to rely upon screeners or loose a port.  Specially when some of the ports use to have really crappy low BR, that a group of 6-10 elite players can lock out the port from others.   Why shouldn't a large nation be able to use there numbers to prevent a fleet from showing up and taking a port?  In real life most engagements where to do just that, prevent some one from reaching there final goal.  Some times that final goal is much harder to attack or defend so it's better to take them out before they get there.

So effectively all the best players being staked into one or two nations means those nations will always win.  This solves nothing other than giving them even bigger advantage.

@Sir Texas Sir
is it, that you dont play anymore since a long time?

I don't play under the Sir Texas Sir name currently, mainly on Suicidal Tendencies, but I'm not on much cause I been working 12 hour shifts pretty much since December so I get on for an hour or two do a little econ and maybe some PvE since not much action happens during the hours I have free.   So the few screening fights I did get into on the weekends was my only PvP for the most part.  That and Dutch is currently in a margin down side of rebuilding it self with a lost of a lot of players.

-When Patrol zone come in game: Omg that will kill open world pvp this is bad for game

     *Everyone enjoy Pz

-Wind boost is a shit not realistic

*Trader like this , make pvp sometime more interesting

-Port bonus is a shit , make Op ship for strong nation

*Every nation got port bonus , not everyone got the same upgrade (some more tanky , other faster ect) , make crafted ship better than ia capped

Now new rvr systeme: Omg this is bad killing the game

    *Lets see

You wouldn‘t need some of these things, if the Server would have a high Population with real players, not with in port sitting alt Accounts! If the Game could hold players for longer than few weeks. Patrol zones and Wind boots, are poor mechanics to cover an almost empty Server without Events Or people sailing trough the Open world!

9 pages of crying, although no one even knows how the new mechanics will work.
I'm not talking about the fact that no one knows how she will show herself in perspective.
Community Naval action, you are amazing
:D

What is amazing is that many players will moan and whine, that the updated mechanics were faulty, even if they work.

Many players cried about Doubloons before they were introduced, without testing them, and those players are still unwilling to admit that Doubloons are not as bad as they predicted. Those players now blame our developer for not providing a detailed explanation with their introduction.

Most player's issues regarding upgrades come from the fact that they aren't communicated properly. It's a tendency in NA that big modifications to the game aren't explained in detail before they are introduced into the game, but they are announced and only partially explained, leaving much to players speculation.
In most games from reputable companies all updates and changes are openly explained in patch notes when they are announced before their introduction. Most people are used to this way of this doing things. It would be better if NA's updates were not openly announced and only patch notes were released after the patch was deployed. Or if the patch contents are to be announced in advance, then they should be explained in as much detail as possible, then players wouldn't be left to speculate.

As an example; if the patch was announced to contain 'modifications to RvR mechanics to remove grieffing' but nothing further then there would be less players having issues but still looking forward to the patch. But if it's announced as 'Flag system is being reintroduced into RvR mechanics'. Then it logically follows that all the players that already experienced that system and know it to be flawed and not working properly will obviously have concerns with it being introduced again.

**Doubloons were changed several times since their initial introduction.
They were much harder to obtain at their initial introduction to the game. Off course after several patches that added half a dozen new ways to obtain doubloons it's not a big of an issue anymore. But even Admin himself says doubloons are currently 5-10 times more expensive than they should ideally be. If players had been told of all the ways to obtain doubloons that would be added in further patches then most wouldn't have had any issues.

It all falls down to poor communication.

Yes the game mechanic work, but are you implying that farming doubloons with rinse and repeat combat missions with 4th rates but now an ai first rate is good gameplay? Who knows for how long people have used this way to gain doubloons when it was first reported a few weeks ago which where several months after the initial possibility to capture AI first rates.

I was/am implying that players should give the updates a chance, test them, before claiming the game is doomed.

Before Update:

Complainer says "If you make this change the game will die"

Dev says: "Well, give it a try, see if it works, it may be okay, keep an open mind. "

After Update:

Game did not die.

Complainer says: "I didn't understand the impact of the change, and the Dev failed, before, to convince me that the update would be okay."

Summary: Give the update a chance before convincing yourself that most players will leave.  Perhaps you don't KNOW exactly how things will turn out.

Before removing RvR and hostility missions for everyone, a replacement hot patch ready to go would have been nice.

Can we have the old hostilities back until the new flag system can be implemented ?

@admin Will the victory DLC be launched today with the patch?

Also are there any Patch notes you can release whilst we wait during the extended maintenance and finally how long is the extended maintenance expected to take for both today and Friday?

Thanks in advance.
