Sir Cloudsley-Shovell Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Is there a demo available at all?
Galileus Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 This is very, very early alpha. No, there is no demo.
Sir Cloudsley-Shovell Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Ok, was only wondering as it would afford me a chance to see how it performed on my computer before shelling out for the full game.
DanielCoffey Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Post your hardware specs and folks with similar machines will chip in with their experience. I suggest listing CPU, GPU and resolution of monitor as a minimum.
BlackAdder Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 It seems to be an increasingly rare thing nowadays for there to be a demo for anything. Ok, was only wondering as it would afford me a chance to see how it performed on my computer before shelling out for the full game. i would say check out this thread, you might be able to get an idea of what your system will run it like if you can find anyone with similar specs to your own. 1
Mirones Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Dx11 is needed otherwise you will find funny pink stuff
Sir Cloudsley-Shovell Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Post your hardware specs and folks with similar machines will chip in with their experience. I suggest listing CPU, GPU and resolution of monitor as a minimum Here we go. Intel Core i7-4700MQ (2.4 GHz, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) 12 GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA
Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Dx11 is needed otherwise you will find funny pink stuff This is a touch misleading. You need a video card that supports DirectX 11. Installing DirectX 11 on the computer isn't enough (we've had quite a few players do this and then find out they couldn't run the game). Once you get your rig back, post the specs and we can give you a 95% idea of if you can run it or not.

Henry d'Esterre Darby Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 You'll be able to run it as far as I can tell. Not sure at what settings, but I play with an old laptop on low at 15-25fps and have no complaints.
Sir Cloudsley-Shovell Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Cool, its only just a year old and i can play Trainsim 2015 maxed out.i have been waiting for a game like this for years!
jon Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I run it on similar specs on ultra and it runs fine.
SchurkjeBoefje Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Here we go. Intel Core i7-4700MQ (2.4 GHz, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) 12 GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated) 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA lol, you'll be fine.
DanielCoffey Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 It was well worth asking through - it is one thing to have a nice laptop like that with modern hardware and quite another to hope to play it well on a budget ultrabook.
