New Feature Proposals - Combat

Please propose your ideas in the following way.

  • 1 Post = 1 Proposal.
    • Players will vote on 1 proposals only. Multiple proposals will mix different subjects and confuse.
    • Multitiered or multi subject proposals will be removed.
  • Keep the proposals on the topic subjects
  • Do not comment. The thread is for proposals only
  • If you want to improve on other people proposals contact them so they can update the post. 
  • Best proposals will be brought up by the system based on likes and we will comment on them once in a while. Proposals which dont get community attention will be ignored and will sink to the bottom.

I propose a free for all battle royale combat lobby.

Everyone could reach this lobby from any port.

The battle takes place in a circle shrinking from the beginning in the model of the duels in the PZ 

The winner is the only ship still floating.

To make NPC battle more interesting, I suggest to add several level of AI difficulty on open world.

Currently we have the normal ones and elite one which mounts special guns that may be looted after sinking it; I'd imagine it would be even more fun to have a harder NPC that can use hull and rig repair as well as rum - albeit at slower rate than player, and an even harder NPC that'll do everything they can to ruin your ship and your day, which can include dismasting/chaining your sails on top of being able to use repairs and rum.

This can give more hunt mission options as well as offer higher reward

Fix all battles to close at the same time for both sides, it used to be the case what you could see on the horizon was what you would be fighting. Now with the domination of the snow, a single snow will drag a bigger ship into battle and have 20 mins to call his friends, its stupid, I would support the perk that kept a battle open as it could be used by both sides. Otherwise close the battle for both sides after 2 or 3 mins

Reward for Leaderboard

 

New systeme anti farm alt is online.

So maybe its time to add some reward for leaderboard

- For the1st one they get reward ship like gifted ship we got ( You can use S wood on it , not all port bonus, 5/5)

-For the 2nd they get permit of this ship (Same reward for 2nd and 3rd)

-For 4-10 Doublon/combat medal depending on the rank

- 10-15 reals depending on the rank

 

Week reward less good cause less player ( Bellona, wasa, ect ect)

Week-end reward better cause more player online , more challenge ( Implacable , Christian , 1st rate , ect ect)

Random reward everyday , sometime on week-end special gun drope ect ect

Maybe ruyter time to time on week end reward , announced before on forum ( blue one cause very very op ship)

I would like to propose event for WAR Server. Duration of event is 1 day. Frequency no more than twice a month.

When an event occurs, all NPC ships disappear from OW. In other words, there are only player ships in OW.

Patrol zones are disabled

It is advisable to make an announcement about the upcoming event.

Limit repairs to one time per type per battle:

- one possible hull repair and ...

- one possible rig repair and ...

- one possible crew heal ...

each battle.

This would be more realistic and limit the power of rep-upgrades and books, not everyone can afford.

Loot stealing mechanism:

when a captain steels loot from another captain in battle.

the  captain becomes a suspected pirate captain and flagged ( orange color  )  as well ..

and can be shot to sink  as well ...(if unknown to battle members >> ..the choice is to the members in the battle game)

 

so no green on green >>> but a suspected captain who is loot stealing.

also a sophisticated manner to overcome loot stealers in battle and deal with it.

 

right mouse button>>> on orange  ship >>  to grand loot to the captain

Remove the Requin from the game.

Remove all 5th rates from shallow waters.

Remove 32lb carros from the Snow.

Remove Random Fire

Remove the ability to swivel and pivot cannons as if they are mounted on a space ship.

Remove Mod Stacking.

    • Make a perk which does mark the entry of a battle as long as it is open, visible to all players of the same nation as the tagged ship; it helps new players who can not tell the exact position of battle entry to nation chat

Patrol zone allowed ship change

-Change from ship rate to ship BR

- By using BR, other ships will be used making them used again. 

- Make it a max BR of 50/100/150/200/300/400/500/800.

 This makes way for a lot of ships hardly being used atm. Like the 7th rates, Essex, Belle Poule, Frigat, Wasa, USS, 3rd rate, Bellona.

Enemy Captain Flag Collection
- Player flags drop in the holds of ships
- Ships that sink drop their "flag" and has a little annotation "Player X sunk by Christendom on April 2nd...blah blah" 
- Flags can be traded, sold or used in a later developed bounty system.

Allow to repair your ships in OW without spending repairs. When OW repair is initiated your ships becomes uncontrollable for 5 minutes, e.g repair at sea, but uses no repairs.

My proposal:
Rockets, Like the congreve rockets that was used to bombard Copenhagen in 1807. It could either be used for a new type of Tower/fort. This type of weapon get's ships and sails. There is a ship that could carry this type of weapons, The HMS Erebus, so it could also be used for a ship, so there is a counterpart to the Mortar Brig.
