New to Utimate Civil War General

I like to thank GoG for a great game and one of the best since John Tiller"s Battleground series. I love the idea of the career mode and creating your army by Corps. Playability is great and the learning curve is good. Love the capability of renaming each Bde. Btty, and Co.    

I would like recommendations  to a historical mode from experience players here.

By historical mode do you mean some ways to build your army to make the campaign feel more historical?
