If you LOVE screening you can of course sail to port battle yourself and fight with screeners . Those who dont like the screening will just teleport there and will finally get good PB content. Win win for everyone. (Except griefers) this is the same logic as the BR with port battles. 5,7k BR. Of course you can run with 16 Agamemnons, but you probably want to go with 10 Bucentaures instead because they are better in therms of everything but BR and that doesent compensate the difference of the ships. Same can be said in 20k PB, 20x l'ocean/santi fleet vs 25x mix of victory and bucentaures. Besides if you screen a PB ship, the chance that they can outrun the screening fleet is next to 0% since they would be usually LO/WO, so if you want more fights and stop people from running AND promote PvP, wouldnt it be better that ALL PvP battles that happen in a county the same day there is a port battle have PZ RoE? This would force peoples screening to actually fight the battle and not just grief, aswell as the Port Battle fleet get something out of it. @admin And also isnt it regarded as a skill to get past an enemy screening fleet by having fake pb fleets? We don't have a clanbased game, but we do in terms of PBs. What happens then when one clan want to organize other national clans for a war that goes against the "leading" clans policies? - The leading clan can basically cut everyone off from communicating and thus hello kitty 'em over.
Capitalism Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 @admin Screening != Griefing Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply stomping on sour grapes. 1

Capturable first rates opened a lot of content for an average players. You do know the reason first rates was so sought after was because all other ships got so much bonuses from upgrades that anything lower and BARELY 24pd cannons would penetrate right? People love capturable NPC ships and love DLC ships despite the fact that YOU do not like them. Redoutable was a number 4 top seller on steam world wide!!! it was selling more than red dead redemption 2 for a week! If you were correct this could have never happened. Classic victory will again be a top5 best selling item across ALL steam games. RdR 2 released 5th december. Everyone that wanted it the most got it the first few weeks it was out, Redoutable released 1st February, we're not doing a Intel comparison here where they compared their new cpu with a 3 year old pc. So its not unexpected. We are removing the pain point because griefing went out of hand. With 1st rate DLC the pain point would increase, so action must be taken before. If screeners were a little bit more accurate it would not happen. But no. They were not. They were enjoying wasting other people time. And paid for it. Solution. Add the damn PZ RoE to Port vicinity the day there is a port battle. 1

Erik Eriksen Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 A way there can be brought some fun into the game i my opinion. Is that when a nation wants to do hostility on a port it opens up a patrol zone around that port. The one doing hostility must then sink enemy AI or players in the zone. AI will have half the br of players or be buffed in a way or something like that, battles will be open for 10 mins. So the nation doing the hostility must effectivly have a blockade on that port for a while. Other nations can come and help screen on either side. 2

Conte D. Catellani Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 screening was the most striking moment in the whole game: seeing more than 60 ships move simultaneously was like seeing a picture of the era of a naval battle if not more beautiful 4
Hullabaloo Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) Major. Cheaper edition launch (could happen a week later due to valve approval) All current edition owners will receive a free DLC ship New price will be set at much lower levels DLC will be then set for sale for new buyers. This is going to be basically a 40-50 dollar gift for current version buyers Google Translate: We will make this game cheap to buy and pay to win. The DLC will be OP SOL which we calculate many new players will buy. We don't want you to complain too much about it, so we will give you one of the game breaking ships to shut you up and bullshit you that you are gaining from it. Edited April 10, 2020 by Hullabaloo 6

I only saw one guy (streamer) complaining in tribunal about being griefed by screening fleets and boom it gets removed. I'm a bit puzzled. Also about the changes in woods again while DLC ships won't get them. A bummer for all who did invest hundreds of Euros/Dollars. 6
Fletch Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Good idea in my opinion hope it puts an end to big nations hello kittying up smaller nations port battles 1
Hullabaloo Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Please can you at least fix the fleeting exploit, so everyone doesn't have 4 of them? 5
cmdrbobcito Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Look forward to seeing how all this unfolds...especially the Hostility missions and port point investment.

Give people a little variety and the chance to grind slots via PVP without feeling woefully outmatched. They could even add a few more around the map. Like for example if they where to ever add another freeport and make it shallows Cayo's Del Golfo would make a great place to have second mini shallows and port for folks to keep small ships in. This would also give another point small clans can fight over shallow ports than just Bahamas. 4
MysteriousHonza Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 And i though gaijin admins on forum are worst... this is most arrogance from forum admin ive ever seen... Especially when all complains against that new porting BS are correct and in place. But yeah.... lets make game more "skill based" when guys who DONT HAVE KIDS AND WORK can sit in game for hours and hours each day, grind for S woods, rare permits, upgrades and other non skill based OP stuff, so even skilled fleet cant do a S*** about them cause they wont penetrate, outrun and outturn them so even tactics means nothing when you cant do anything to your enemy above 300-500 meters. NICE NICE NICE i smell SKILL in that. 5

There is no data yet that vitamin c will help and the amount that could possibly help is way too high for average people to eat. And what exaclty do the new woods give? Does it mean that our Lo/Wo ships are worthless now and we have to start all over again? Clans invested alot to build forests to craft Lo/Wo ships.

NO.. real players have to work (hard work) and have 2 kids and dont give a shit about your historical 1 first rate every 4 years for only 1 best player fantasy. Good point but is also expensive in time build and rebuild shipyard with Port bonuses.

The constant greifing and abuse of the game rules (keeping players in battles for 45 mins during screening), has flipped the balance. Its done and being tested internally for deployment within 1-2 weeks. Good riddance Say thanks to griefers and maybe next time you can foretell this and tell your allies or clan members to stop abusing mechanics kicking them from clans or alliance if you think they are doing a wrong thing. Just like you say - it was foretold. I am foretelling another thing If the level of abuse and toxicity in chat does not start falling starting now - all communication with enemies will be removed like in WOW.. people will say KEK and lkjsdfljwoeijow .. and that's all you will read from enemies. Hope this foretold warning will allow you as a community member to push more friendliness from allies. Why you don't send in game a mail to all the players? OK that is the forum of the game but first not every body know it presence and second follow all the discussions. A message, a pop up so all will be warned
