Can I play my AOS without any need for Steam

 Or do I need Steam for this game  bad idea?  Steam is pushy with its screen sprawl and consumes resources   Thanks

In general Steam does not consume much of PC resources, but you can try to launch the game than shutdown Steam via task manager, also have you tried playing through Xsolla launcher?
