The more ports are capped by Pirates, the more Pirate ai appears, thus less ai targets for Pirate players....same ofc for all other nations... Partcularly sensitive to this effect are patrol zones. If a nation has several ports around a patrol zone, this zone is useless to that nation. Result : every nation has no more incentive to take ports once the first 55 pt port and a supporting cluster of 2 or 3 more ports nearby are taken. So if the current pb system is to make any sense, the ai spawn needs to be de-coupled from port nationality (or some other means to insure more and more varied ai needs to be installed) 4
Jan van Santen Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 (edited) 2nd part of "counterproductive": on PvE the cm (and a large part of the dubs) needed to upgrade the capped ports are earned by fighting ai...which we reduce by capping ports..... (cm from pz and ow hunt/sd of ai, vm traded w dubs mostly, dubs from weeklies, looted ships.) we cant ship cargo only to make dubs, never enough to upgrade ports Edited February 28, 2020 by Jan van Santen
