Monfet Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 As the title says, where did we all first hear/see of NA? I first heard of NA through a friend who saw it on YouTube.
SweatyPenguin Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 If it wasn't for darth and his mods I would have never even heard of game labs. So yeah.
OlavDeng2 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 First time i saw it was when i just randomly found it when looking for a pirate game, but i didnt pay any attention to it then, i bought it because i saw a couple of youtube videos and it looked amazing(maybe 1 or 2 months later)
Black Bart Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 i saw it from SideStrafe and Mighty jingles when i was looking War thunder vids... then someday there newest upload was this, Naval Action, and now ive bought it
George Rodney Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 on youtube ramjb, pretty much the 1st NA Video he released.
maturin Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 RockPaperShotgun's Flare Path series. I came here to bully the poor developers for giving Consitution a mizzen crossjack sail. sooorry 1
captain silent Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 i saw ramjb post his first one day.. watched a few.. chatted with him and got his guidance and then bought the game.. best money spent this year
Reisman17 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 All I can say is WTH (what the HELL). I have been playing Ultimate Gettysburg (having purchased this a while ago) but this game - absolutely no clue it was out there by the same developer. No announcement that I heard at all !!!!!!!. Darth if you are reading this you need to send emails out to us players of Ultimate Gettysburg and let us know about your new projects. I would have purchased this months ago had I known about this. The only reason I discovered this game (which has always had a soft spot in my heart having played a lot of the previous age of sail titles from so many years ago) was I was checking YouTube on my phone and I noticed a video by "Sidestrafe" (great name by the way :-) ). Having watched a few videos I knew I would like this game for sure although right now my graphics card failed (back to using a 295GTX which is o.k but its only directx 10 not 11 - damm) and I am waiting for the next set of graphics cards to come out from AMD - hopefully soon. I am so looking forward to playing this. Thank you "Sidestrafe" for your videos. I look forward to now following this game and joining everyone soon.
Cuthbert Collingwood Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 First came across it on You Tube. Can't be sure whose channel it was but I suspect it was probably Thhe Mighty Jingles as I quite often check in there and watch a WOT or Warthunder video. Don't actually play them but I do enjoy watching good battles. What struck me about NA was both the visual quality of the graphics and the fact that somebody was trying to get the sailing and cannon physics right.
ThePandanator2 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 War Thunder forums.... a lot of people on there played it and talked about how amazing it was, so I threw the devs my fee for entry and been loving it since. Youtubers, particularly SideStrafe also helped pique my interest.
Leviathan Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I found it while I was frantically searching the internet for a game just like this back in Spring of 2013. 1
SueMyChin Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 First heard about it here - http://www.piratesahoy.net/threads/naval-action-open-world-multiplayer-rpg.20616/Forgot about it until Sidestrafe's first video on it.
OTMatt Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Completely forgot but I think I found it through while trying to look at Mount & Blade mods
DontTreadOnMe Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Browsing SideStrafe's channel when I noticed a unique video uploaded called, "Naval Action". after watching the first 3 minutes I then made a new tab. Google'd, "naval action" and clicked on purchase. Here I am!
DanielCoffey Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I saw Squirrel's YouTube video and wanted it. He loves simulations.
Hethwill, the Red Duke Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 From Darth and subsequently kept eye on both Ultimate General and this. 100% hit the nail by Game Labs. Eager to see the survival game in plans.
Ryga Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Meister Ramjb showed me it for the first time and it really surprised me. From the old days of pirates of the carribean game, which then was beautifull, I have always been somewhat searching for another game like it.
BelowYourDecks Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 WoTLabs, saw Garbad giving it a very good review. Just waiting on my key now
Wetworth Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 A Reddit thread from the Aubrey/Maturin subreddit.
Mithras Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 First sighting was the youtube video by Mighty Jingles, saw that in that vid Ramjb, Sidestrafe and Bismarck where there and watched couple of their videos and next thing I know I was pre-ordering. This game hit the nail for me!
