There was a freeze issue reported by the testers and some other gameplay related stuff we wanted to fix. Today we will offer a final internal test beta and hopefully it will pass the quality assurance.

Indeed - relax, people - and don't give devs / modders grief if they miss their estimated release - otherwise you're reinforcing the perception that you should never say anything about the release date except "It's done when it's done", and that's a shame - the estimates are often useful, even if they end up being wrong, because we know it's going to take AT LEAST that long.

Next few days we will be testing the new update. When its working it will be released. Trust me its worth it!

Hello all,

 

We have some good news to share.

It seems we nailed down the freeze bug and we are very close to the patch release. Tomorrow probably it will not be ready because it needs some fine tunes in multiplayer code.

But patch should be released very soon, we will try for this weekend.

You guys should just keep reporting as accurately as you can, just leave any optimism out of it as that's what seems to be bugging some.

But otherwise, I'm sure 95% understand software development is quirky and hard to schedule.

You guys should stop saying the patch release is imminent if it's really not. You've been saying that for weeks.

Is the pianist a new unit being introduced into the next patch. Cool.

Perhaps gives a +1 morale boost to all who hear his tunes.

Needs Limber/Unlimber to be able to move.

Can be sacrificed to give cover to units hiding behind.

If uphill from the enemy can be rolled down to cause damage.

I'll stop now until confirmed.

We've been delayed because of a nasty freezing issue that took us almost 2 weeks to identify and solve.

 

We have been testing the release candidate and i have strong feelings about the latest one we've been given.

 

Don't worry, when you see the changelog you'll realize how big this patch impacts gameplay, why it took us so long (solving the freezes AND adding features and fixes at the same time) and you won't be disappointed. :)

 

Patience, remember: the longer you wait, the bigger the improvements.
