HusariuS Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) When player start a new campaign, game will load ships templates to the AI memory, that player have used in the academy missions (maybe not every template... yes, I'm looking at you Accipiter!), or even from the previous campaigns. If the AI has both technology and resources, it can use these templates created by the player and use them against him! Edited February 15, 2020 by HusariuS 5
roachbeef Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 You'll have to be careful, because the ships I use for Naval Academy are hilariously overspecialized. This could easily be exploitable to cheese the AI and might make the game too easy even if you don't intend to cheese the designs. 2
TotalRampage Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 It could be a neat idea. But they as devs could also just put in reference template's that the AI wouldn't deviate a lot from. Also in campaign the type of fuel storage is going to play a big part and also the range at which they travel. I know in my games i turn range to little which can make or break a design.
RedParadize Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 I would like that allot. AI built ship are... not great. to be polite.
HusariuS Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 Well, there is no problem in giving players a option to: 1.Disabling usage of any templates created by players for AI. 2.Allowing use of SOME templates created by the player for AI. 3.Making normal ships instead of meme ships.
Teckelmaster Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Or simply the other way around, create a „folder“ where all usable templates are saved in and gibe the option to mark them as usable for the ai also.
