Live and white difference

What deference exists between a live / white ship with a white / white ship? It is not very clear to me. which one gives more armor?

LO frames have higher thickness than WO frames, but less HP and have a higher speed and manueverability penalty . LO also has a fire resistance bonus, a mast thickness bonus, and a slight leak resistance advantage over WO framing.

Assuming same planking, LO ship will be slower and will have lower turn, although differences are not extreme. If your keep your distance LO will serve you better due to thickness advantage. At a close range, when armor is often penetrated anyway, WO based ship will soak damage better due to HP bonus. WO ship tend to get on fire easier though.
